Job description

UP TO A $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR CCHT CERTIFIED DIALYSIS CLINICAL TECHNICIANS
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in patient care and a passion for helping individuals with kidney disease. As a Clinical Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing dialysis treatments and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Location: 19001 Hubbard Dr. Dearborn, MI 48126
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Fairlane Dialysis is a freestanding outpatient dialysis facility. Staffed with full-time Nephrologists. In addition, we have full-time and part time Nurses and dialysis technicians. In addition, the unit has multiple support staff members including the front desk team and tech leader staff (machine maintenance) that may assist with operational duties within the clinic. Our team provides pt education as well as referrals to transplant services for sites the pt requests to be referred to. The unit is typically open Monday through Saturday from 5am to 730pm for pt care hours with some flexibility based on the clinic's needs.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
  • Perform dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
  • Set up and operate dialysis machines, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by the physician.
  • Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documenting treatment activities and patient progress.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in the dialysis unit.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Nursing Assistant (NA), Medical Assistant (MA), or other healthcare experience preferred.
  • Must successfully complete the Greenfield Health Systems dialysis training program, as a condition of continued employment.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
  • As a condition of continued employment, certification as a dialysis technician must be obtained (and maintained) within designated timeline of 18 months, in accordance with federal regulation.
