Respond to brokers, clients, and reinsurers on issues and questions relating to risk analysis for natural and human-made catastrophes. Provide real-time loss estimates of actual catastrophic events globally. Prepare and send catastrophe risk assessment data to reinsurers and participate in reinsurance market calls. Assist clients in the understanding of catastrophe risks, sensitivity studies, and added analytics based on catastrophe model results.

Senior Analysts are expected to be proficient in completing standard analyses with limited guidance, while also taking a higher-profile role in advanced analyses and special projects as needed. Senior Analysts should begin taking a more active role in communicating with brokers and clients, and presentation development.

Skills and experience that will lead to success include excellent communication, especially the ability to explain complicated concepts. Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning. Ability to think strategically, work independently and take initiative. Proven analytical skills and problem-solving experience. Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple assignments, work well independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Advanced user of SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint. Programming experience using SQL, R or Python is a plus. Strong visualization software skills (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Three or more years of direct industry experience in catastrophe modeling, data cleanup/validation/analysis or experience in an analytical field; preferably analyzing complex datasets. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Economics, Finance, Math or other similarly quantitative or analytically-orientated major, or equivalent experience.
