Job Title: Carpenter
Department: Maintenance
Position Summary: Supports the maintenance and upkeep of IMG Academy's campus buildings and facilities by performing skilled carpentry work.
Position Responsibilities
  • Construct, install, repair, and maintain building structures, furniture, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wood or composite fixtures

  • Perform repairs to drywall, framing, flooring, trim, and other interior/exterior finishes

  • Inspect campus buildings to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns; complete assigned work orders in a timely manner

  • Assure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively

  • Assist with classroom, office, and facility modifications or refurbishments as needed

  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities staff to support broader campus projects

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety procedures

  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student-athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendors

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida Driver's License or the ability to obtain one

  • Prior carpentry experience required; experience in commercial, institutional, or school environments preferred

  • Strong knowledge of woodworking practices, building materials, and safe tool operation

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work specifications

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Basic electrical principle and plumbing systems understanding

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 50lbs

  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations

  • Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.

  • Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weather

  • Ability to operate office equipment such as computers

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate equipment and tools

  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
