Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Apartment Service Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community while providing excellent service to our residents. The ideal candidate is hands-on, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the community.
  • Assist with apartment turns, including painting, drywall repair, appliance installation, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community, including common areas and amenities.
  • Perform daily property inspections and report any safety concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, if required.

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs independently.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • HVAC certification and/or EPA certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling based on community needs. Weekend availability may be required.
