Part-Time Adjunct Instructor - Data and Communication Capstone (ICOM 788)
The University of South Carolina's College of Information and Communications invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach a capstone course in our Master of Data and Communication (MDC) program. This is an exciting opportunity to bring real-world expertise in data analytics and marketing technology into a graduate learning environment.
About the Course
This eight-week capstone experience challenges students to integrate and apply the data analysis and communication skills developed throughout the MDC program. Working through an extended industry case, students engage with contemporary tools and methods including big data market research, customer segmentation, AI-powered sentiment analysis, personalization strategies, and automated customer engagement. The course is practical, applied, and fast-paced-designed to prepare graduates for immediate professional impact.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare course prior to delivery.
  • Deliver eight weeks of online instruction in an online, asynchronous format.
  • Guide students through applied assignments in market research, segmentation, sentiment analysis, marketing performance modeling, and AI-driven customer engagement
  • Provide timely, substantive feedback on student assignments
  • Collaborate with college program leadership on course coordination as needed.
Qualifications
