Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced part-time CDL Class A driver to join our fleet department. The driver will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of tractors and trailers to and from repair facilities, dealers, depots, and occasionally terminals. Additionally, the driver will assist fleet mechanics and drivers with diagnostic and quality control road tests as needed. This is a first shift/daytime position, Monday through Friday, with optional weekend work available. All trips are local and within a 150-mile radius.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Transport tractor and trailer units to and from vendors and repair locations.
  2. Perform road tests on tractors and trailers to provide diagnostic and quality control feedback.
  3. Move trailers within our trailer repair facility to assist shop mechanics.
  4. Support fleet and transport dispatch in the movement of all tractor-trailers.
  5. Coordinate with the fleet to build and maintain a working schedule, with on-call availability being a plus.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  1. Valid Class A CDL License.
  2. Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
  3. Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
  4. Experience in hauling and moving trailers.
  5. Hazmat and tanker endorsements, along with a TWIC card, are preferred but not required. We can assist the right candidate in obtaining these certifications.
  6. Experience with petroleum tanker trailers is helpful but not required.
