About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the healthcare industry, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote patient health and well-being. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient interaction, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient conditions. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and supporting the overall mission of the healthcare facility.

Location: Sarasota- Hematology/Oncology Infusion RN (PRN/part-time), Cardiology (full-time), Chronic Care Management Nurse (full-time), Rheumatology (full-time) ; and Lakewood Ranch-Chronic Care Management Nurse (full-time)

Monday-Friday shifts

The hourly rate will commensurate with nursing experience, education, and specialty related certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hematology-Oncology and Rheumotology Infusion experience.
  • Oncology Certifications (ONS/OCNN or OCN).
  • Experience working in specialized units.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring.

Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather medical histories and current health status.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and institutional standards.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • May be required to mix chemotherapy medication (for Oncology only).
