Common part-time roles include sales associates, receptionists, lot attendants, and service assistants. These jobs usually involve assisting customers, managing inventory, preparing vehicles for display, or helping with administrative tasks. They are ideal for students, individuals seeking flexible schedules, or those looking for supplemental income. Part-time employees at car dealerships may also receive training and have opportunities for advancement.

What are the typical responsibilities for part-time employees at a car dealership?

Part-time employees at a car dealership often assist with a variety of tasks depending on the dealership's needs. Part-time Outside Sale Representative - A-1

JAJ ENTERPRISES LLC

Coburg, OR

Part-time

Posted 8 days ago

Job description

Corvallis • Eugene • Roseburg, Oregon

Are you a fearless salesperson who loves the chase, builds relationships everywhere you go, and knows how to close?

We’re looking for a tenacious, confident, likable Part-time Outside Sales Representative to own and grow our commercial sales territory covering Corvallis, Eugene, Roseburg, and the surrounding communities.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk sales job. You’ll be out in the field, meeting customers, finding opportunities, solving problems, and growing business across the Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon.

You’ll represent our auto glass services and glass products to dealerships, auto body shops, insurance companies, fleet operators, trucking companies, and other commercial customers.

If you’re energized by meeting new people, uncovering opportunities, and turning prospects into loyal customers, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Hunt for new business. Consistently prospect, cold call, network, and develop new commercial accounts throughout the Corvallis, Eugene, and Roseburg markets.
  • Close deals. Turn opportunities into profitable sales and build a strong book of business.
  • Own your territory. Plan your schedule, prioritize accounts, get in the car, and go make things happen.
  • Build relationships. Become a trusted resource for dealerships, body shops, fleets, trucking operations, insurance companies, and other commercial customers.
  • Grow existing accounts. Find new opportunities within current customer relationships and expand the business.
  • Sell solutions. Generate sales for mobile auto glass installation services and glass-only products for cars, trucks, fleets, heavy-duty vehicles, trucking equipment, and other applicable equipment.
  • Meet customers face-to-face. Conduct sales presentations, understand customer needs, and customize solutions that make sense for their business.
  • Follow through. Stay on top of leads, opportunities, customer visits, and follow-ups.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service. Be responsive, professional, and someone customers actually want to do business with.
  • Track your opportunities. Maintain accurate customer and prospect information and document activity throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with leadership. Meet regularly with the Sales & Marketing Director to review opportunities, progress, and territory strategy.

Who You Are

You’re not waiting around for someone to hand you a lead.

You’re a self-starter, a hunter, and a closer. You know that success in outside sales comes from getting out there, starting conversations, earning trust, and asking for the business.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of outside sales and marketing experience.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, negotiate, and close business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver effective sales presentations and communicate technical information.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer relationship skills.
  • Professional presence and a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

The Territory

This position focuses on the Corvallis, Eugene, and Roseburg corridor, including surrounding communities and commercial markets.

You’ll spend your time in the field and in front of customers, developing new business and strengthening relationships throughout the territory.

This is a part-time outside sales position with the independence to manage your own schedule, prioritize high-value opportunities, and build your territory.

The role requires the ability to:

  • Travel throughout the Corvallis, Eugene, and Roseburg territory, with occasional additional Oregon travel as needed.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving or working.
  • Stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling and other activities.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Use computers, phones, mobile devices, and standard office equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, training requirements, PPE requirements, and ergonomic practices.

If you’re confident, competitive, personable, persistent, and motivated by turning conversations into customers, this could be your opportunity to make a real impact.

Bring your hustle. Bring your personality. Bring your closing game.
