Surgery Liaison (Part-Time)
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) Buzzards Bay, MA
If you love working with people, staying organized, and being part of a team that helps pets get the care they need, this could be a great fit. Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is hiring a Full-time and a Part-Time Veterinary Surgery Liaison to support our AAHA-accredited surgery department during our hospital-wide expansion.
Why this role matters
Our liaisons are the friendly, steady connection between pet owners, referring veterinarians, and our surgery team. You help keep communication clear, appointments on track, and families supported through a stressful time. You also play a key role in keeping visits running smoothly, which helps reduce wait times and improves the overall client experience.
What you'll do
  • Help keep patient flow moving to limit client wait times
  • Communicate with referring veterinarians and hospitals
  • Communicate with pet owners, including updates and next steps
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with the surgery team
  • Support patient discharge following the surgeon's instructions
  • Enter and manage medical records
  • Check surgery patients in and out
  • Process payments and help with deposits when needed

Compensation, Schedule, and perks
  • Pay: starting rate $22, and rate ranges up to $32 per hour
    • Most new hires can expect an offer based on experience, expertise, and alignment with comparable positions within the hospital, typically between the minimum and the midpoint of the range.
  • Part-time schedule is Mondays 8a to 6p, Fridays 8a to 6p, and Saturdays 7a to 11a.
  • There is a holiday shift rotation

What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital (technician, liaison, or CSR)
    • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary software
  • Basic math skills for deposits and payments
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Clear, kind communication and a calm, professional approach
  • Respectful and attentive with clients, referring veterinarians, and teammates

Preferred (nice to have):
  • Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow
  • Familiarity with CareCredit
  • Interest in learning veterinary assisting skills
