REPORTS TO: CAMPUS OPERATIONS & EVENTS DIRECTOR
RELATES CLOSELY WITH: CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS
CLASSIFICATION: PART-TIME
PAY RANGE: $21-$25/HOUR
WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church situated in one of the most diverse and influential regions of the world-the Silicon Valley-is seeking an energetic, warm, and reliable Campus Operations Support Team Member to provide exceptional maintenance and upkeep of our campus facilities. This team member works with the Campus Operations Director and the Campus Admin to execute exceptional and well-coordinated campus events and environments in accordance with our ministry playbooks. This pivotal role supports the team in proper stewardship of ministry assets enabling our staff and congregants to effectively reach those far from God to learn and live the way of Jesus together.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unlock and disarm buildings in the morning; lock and alarm buildings at closing
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and orderliness of church facilities.
  • Perform routine cleaning: sweeping, mopping, dusting.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
  • Keep restrooms clean and fully stocked.
  • Keep outdoor areas (entrances, parking lots) free of debris.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks as directed by the Operations Director.
  • Monitor and address issues with HVAC systems.
  • Set up and arrange seating for events and services.
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down for special events and activities.
  • Provide on-site support during events.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a welcoming, safe environment for members and visitors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS OF SUPPORT FLOATER ROLE
Shift Expectations
  • Available shifts are offered to Campus Operations Support Floater staff.
  • Shifts are determined based on your assigned campus and whether you work the morning or evening schedule.
  • While every effort is made to offer regular opportunities, hours are not guaranteed. If offered shifts are declined, additional shifts may not always be available, which could result in fewer total hours worked.

After-Hours Shifts (Fridays & Saturdays)
  • Campus Operations Support Floaters are expected to help cover these shifts.
  • These are typically scheduled in advance and included in the monthly schedule.
  • Please note: To remain eligible for hours, you must be able to accept, on average, at least 80% of after-hours shifts offered over a three-month period. Failure to meet this requirement may result in loss of eligibility for future hours.
