Responsibilities
Performs general clerical and reception duties according to the needs of the patient, unit, or department, including entering information into computerized patient care system.
Maintains direct contact with patients of all ages except neonates, families, and visitors. The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with patients, families, and others to maintain sound public relations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
  • High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a health care setting or customer service.
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units

PREFERRED
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated Service excellence skills.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to type.
  • Knowledge of PC Windows environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
