Position Purpose:
The VP of Marketing Services is responsible for guiding the company's brand strategy and ensuring consistent delivery through brand governance.  This position is responsible for managing the company's reputation and driving brand awareness with key stakeholders and audiences, and for directing and coordinating the efforts of the marketing, communications, and print shop teams. The VP is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all the company's marketing, communications and public relations both external and internal. This position works closely with investor relations, development and strategy, financial reporting, human resources, the national operations team, regional VPs of business development, hospital business development directors, governmental affairs, and ITG to prioritize and develop appropriate materials and strategic initiatives to help drive business objectives and growth.

This position interacts with national and local media for the company on a proactive and reactive basis in support of the business segments, corporate initiatives and crisis, and can also act as company spokesperson, when appropriate.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
    Establishes a single process management system to meet needs of internal/external stakeholders.  
    Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure strategy, communication, and messaging alignment.
    Selects, trains, directs, and motivates professional and support staff to produce high quality work.
    Possesses skills to take corrective personnel action as required.
    Creates, develops, and implements long and short-term strategic communications plans.
    Oversees the company's brand strategy for consistent brand delivery via brand governance. 
    Manages the brand reputation and drives awareness with key stakeholders and audiences. 
    Oversees and directs efforts of the marketing, communications, and print shop departments
    Prepares, implements, and analyzes budget for marketing, communications, and print shop. 
    Acts as company spokesperson, when appropriate.
    Position must sit at our office in Birmingham, Alabama.

Qualifications:
License or Certification:
    Accreditation in Public Relations or equivalent preferred but not required
Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field required
    Master's degree in Communications or MBA preferred
    Minimum 10 years of experience in a communications/public/media relations role with managerial experience
    Prior experience in a healthcare environment highly preferred
    In-depth understanding of marketing communications and the needs of internal and external stakeholders
    Extensive experience in a management role to design and implement organizational and strategic communication plans
    Demonstrated written and oral communications proficiency
