Job description

Foreman Sales & Service is looking for bus monitors for the 2026/2027 school year for Tri-Valley School District, Colton, SD.

The bus monitor is responsible for supervising students on school buses and coordinating with bus drivers, ensuring a safe transport service for everyone. They are in charge of monitoring the students' behavior, assisting the students with mobility issues, maintaining order, and enforcing the safety rules and policies. There are times when they shall coordinate with the transportation manager and school administrators when addressing and resolving student conflicts.

This is a part-time position, monitoring 4-days a week morning and/or afternoon bus routes. (Occasionally, 5-days a week morning and/or afternoon).

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must enjoy working with students/children and demonstrate patience, respect and understanding. Ability to remain calm and handle challenging situations.
