Summaryof Duties:

Reporting to the Head Bus Driver, the Bus Driver drives plannedroutes on a schedule for the school.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

  • Drive school buses to take children to and from school or on field trips
  • Make sure that children are safe when boarding and leaving the bus, including crossing the street while the bus is stopped
  • Keep control of what children are doing during travel to ensure safety
  • May drive adults on chartered trips outside of school hours
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:

  • Valid BC Class 4 Driver's License, a clean Driver's Abstract, and a reliable vehicle.
  • May need a Class 2 driver's license with airbrake endorsement,
  • 1 to 5 years of driving experience
  • Clean Drivers Abstractย 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines prioritizes assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Motivated self-starter and with strong interpersonal skills.
