Job description

Proof of the Pudding has spent the past four decades providing innovative menus, services, design expertise and event experiences to clients throughout Atlanta and beyond. As a preferred caterer to over 50 venues in and around Atlanta, our Off-Premise team spearheads event innovations and culinary experiences to a range of events from weddings, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings.

We are seeking additional Event Servers to help facilitate off-premise events and to provide Front of House support at events. This position will report to our corporate office in West Midtown and will travel to events throughout the Atlanta Metro area and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the setting of tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table.
  • Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor.
  • Assist in the unloading/loading of off-premise event trucks.
  • Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
  • Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.

Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience in food & beverage or hospitality is preferred.

Work Environment 

This position may report to the Proof of the Pudding West Midtown Corporate Office or directly report to offsite locations. This position will require traversing different terrains while lifting and moving product, equipment, and food items. This position could also drive or ride to events across the greater Atlanta region where the work environments may be buildings, temporary structures, or outdoors.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
