Job description

We are a family-run diner looking for a reliable and experienced Breakfast Line Cook to join our kitchen team.


The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced breakfast environment and can prepare orders quickly, accurately, and consistently while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.


We are looking for a part-time candidate who can work 3 days a week and can start immediately.


Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing breakfast and lunch items to order, including eggs, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats, sandwiches, and other diner favourites
  • Working the flat-top grill, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
  • Managing multiple orders efficiently during busy breakfast and weekend rushes
  • Preparing ingredients and completing daily kitchen prep
  • Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes
  • Keeping the kitchen, cooking stations, and equipment clean and organized
  • Following food-safety, sanitation, and proper food-storage procedures
  • Restocking ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Working closely with other cooks, servers, and family members to keep service running smoothly


What we’re looking for:

  • Previous line cook or breakfast cook experience preferred
  • Strong experience cooking eggs and breakfast items is an asset
  • Ability to work quickly and remain organized under pressure
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team
  • Comfortable working mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
