Job description

C. R. Rader Company is a small, family-owned business that has served the Macon community for more than 100 years. We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on bookkeeping experience and is comfortable independently handling the full range of day-to-day accounting responsibilities for a small business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Payroll processing
  • Payroll taxes and quarterly reports
  • W-2 preparation
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Sales tax
  • General ledger
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Other bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong QuickBooks proficiency required
  • Previous full-charge bookkeeping experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, AP/AR, sales tax, and general ledger
  • Ability to work independently and accurately
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented

Schedule:
This is an in-person, part-time position in downtown Macon averaging approximately 15 hours per week. We have flexibility around the exact schedule and are open to discussing a schedule that works well for the right candidate.
