Concordia University is needing an Part-Time Fan Shop Sales Associate who wants to be a part of this mission. The main campus (and this role) is located in Seward, Nebraska. Position Purpose:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at the Concordia University Fan Shop. The ideal candidate will assist customers, maintain store cleanliness, maintain inventory, and help promote school spirit by providing excellent service and product knowledge. This is a part-time position. Must be 19 years or older to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly assistance.
  • Assist shoppers in finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions.
  • Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle returns/exchanges.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including stocking shelves and organizing displays.
  • Track inventory and report low-stock or popular items.
  • Order new and maintain needed inventory
  • Stay knowledgeable about college-branded apparel, accessories, and merchandise.
  • Create and promote ongoing sales, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Assist with online orders and fulfillment if applicable.
  • Assist Manager with receiving and returning textbooks for book program.
  • Follow all store policies and procedures, including security and loss prevention.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise when needed.
Work Schedule:
  • Flexible shifts, including University events.
Special Position Requirements:
  • All staff and faculty must follow security policies that correspond to the level of sensitivity of the data they handle.
  • Staff and faculty should promptly report any security concerns or incidents to designated personnel.
  • Maintain security and patching of personal devices connected to the Institutional email.
