Job description

Seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist with strong Blood Bank experience to support transfusion medicine services in a hospital-based laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in blood typing, compatibility testing, transfusion support, and laboratory quality standards.

Technologist will work, under the direction of supervisor, and be responsible for day-to-day test performance in Blood Bank and other required duties to maintain laboratory operations. Required to work weekends and holidays, collaborate with other sections of laboratory, as well as other departments within the institution, to provide highest quality patient care

Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an approved program. Certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, by New York State Education Department. One-year relevant Blood Bank laboratory experience needed.
