Job description

Quality Control Inspector - Aerospace & Defense First & Second Shift | Industry-Leading 25% Night Shift Differential & Ownership
Your Eyes. Their Safety. Our Mission.
The military depends on precision. At GTC, our Quality Control Inspectors are the last line of defense before our parts reach the people who need them most. If you take pride in getting it right - every part, every time - this is the role where that matters most.
And while you're protecting the mission, we're protecting your future. Through our Ownership For All program, every eligible employee earns an ownership stake in GTC. You're not just inspecting parts here. You're building something that's partly yours. Your wins aren't just good for the company - they're good for you.
Your Schedule. Your Choice. Your Premium Pay.
We built our shifts around real life, not the other way around. Choose what works for you:
Days start between 5 and 6 AM - 10-hour shifts that get you home while the day still has plenty left in it.
Nights kick off at 5 PM and come loaded with our industry-leading 25% night shift differential. Pick from Monday through Friday at 8 or 10 hours, or Monday through Thursday at 10 or 12 hours. More flexibility, more earning power.
Retiring but not ready to stop? We welcome retirees back on a part-time basis - days or nights - with a benefits package to match.
What You'll Do
You'll be the expert eye on castings, forgings, fabrications, assemblies, and machined workpieces - verifying that every part conforms to blueprints and specifications before it leaves our floor. That means reading and analyzing engineering drawings, computing unspecified dimensions, and wielding a full arsenal of precision measurement tools: CMMs, micrometers, sine bars, optical comparators, profilometers, bore gauges, and more.
You'll inspect first-run parts, lay out reference points and centerlines, dig into defective parts to find the root cause, and write clear inspection reports that keep the team informed and the process improving. When something's off, you don't just flag it - you help solve it.
What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is required. Two years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment - ideally aerospace or defense - puts you ahead of the pack. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control data collection is a strong plus. You'll also need to pass a vision exam (Jaeger 1 at 12" with corrective lenses and the Ishihara Color Blindness Test), administered annually.
Beyond the credentials, you bring sharp problem-solving instincts, a methodical approach, and the kind of attention to detail that other people just can't fake.
Why GTC
Premium pay. Flexible schedules. Work that actually matters. And through Ownership For All, a real stake in the company you show up for every day. From day one, you're not just joining a team - you're becoming an owner.
GTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V. All applicants are considered based on experience and knowledge, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, marital status, disability, or veteran status. We are committed to a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
