JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a part-time staff assistant to assist with various administrative duties at the University Park campus. Successful applicants require no experience as training for the duties will be provided.
Starting pay begins at $15-$20 per hour (based on experience), the hours of duty vary, and applicants must be willing to work 24 hours per week in-person at the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Building. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled. Qualifications include reliability and flexibility.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as receptionist as needed for the main office; greet visitors and provide information, answer TEAMS calls, provide assistance or redirect as appropriate.
  • Process conference room scheduling, calendar and exam printing requests.
  • Sort and distribute mail, prepare daily mail slips for outgoing mail, receive and send packages.
  • Provide assistance to administrative team members in the preparation, processing/submission of financial forms and faculty wage payroll hiring requests (e.g., travel reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations, group meals etc.).
