Summary:
Performs preventative maintenance and repair of biomedical/clinical equipment of advanced complexity in addition to all duties of the Biomedical Engineering Technician; documents detailed and accurate reports regarding the maintenance and repair of all biomedical/clinical equipment; assists the Research and Clinical Equipment Manager in the scheduling of monthly PM's; trains lower level biomedical technicians on new equipment as well as providing staff in-services. This position will work 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with flexibility for operational and emergency coverage needs.
The starting annual salary for this position is $78,126 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time biomedical/clinical experience including biomedical/clinical product specific OEM (original equipment manufacturer) training; or
2. Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time biomedical/clinical experience including biomedical/clinical product specific OEM (original equipment manufacturer) training.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
