Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or do to volume of applications received.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Teach transferable, entry-level Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories

  • Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator

  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.

Required Qualifications for teaching Lectures

  • MS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited College or University.

  • Experience teaching Microbiology Lectures.

  • Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint.

  • Ability and willingness to use email for official communications.

Required Qualifications for teaching Labs

  • BS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited College or University.

  • Experience teaching Microbiology labs or experience in a laboratory situation.

  • Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint.

  • Ability and willingness to use email for official communications.

Starting Salary

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.

$57.81 Hourly for labs.
