Job Summary:
We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for an adjunct faculty position in Chemistry. Scope:
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Chemistry. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Chemistry will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
This individual will serve as the instructor of record for introductory chemistry courses, organic chemistry laboratory courses, or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Jake Zimmerman (j-zimmerman.3@onu.edu).
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Chemistry courses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Chemistry or 18 hours graduate coursework in Chemistry is required. Those with a doctorate in Chemistry and experience teaching Chemistry at the university level are encouraged to apply.
