Job description

Grand Elk Golf Club, located in Granby, CO, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Beverage Cart Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
General Purpose:
Provides a convenient method for members and guests to obtain food and beverage items while out on the course. Creates memorable dining experiences through prompt, efficient, and professional interactions.
Essential Duties:
  • Confirms the beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
  • Stocks and cleans the beverage cart throughout the day.
  • Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
  • Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner.
  • Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course.
  • Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of the facility.
  • Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events, and club activities on a daily basis.
  • Accountable for all checks and cash transactions that may, at times, be high volume.
  • Utilizes the Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports.
  • Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs, or balances. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions, in extreme heat, and in areas near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in high precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in extreme cold (non-weather). Occasionally, there is a risk of electrical shock. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver's License Required; ServSafe Certified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and the manuals for the equipment associates may use are in English).
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Working knowledge of the POS system.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Patience and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
  • Self-motivated and works well with little direction/supervision.
