Job description

Oak View Group is seeking energetic and experienced Bartenders to provide top-tier service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional beverage service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $2.13 and is tip eligible.

This position will remain open until November 20, 2026.


The Dome is a premier 5,000-capacity indoor-outdoor music hall in Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Park.


  • Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately while maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent service and fostering a lively atmosphere.
  • Recommend premium drink selections and specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Process transactions efficiently using the venue’s point-of-sale system while following cash-handling procedures.
  • Stock, clean, and maintain the bar area before, during, and after shifts to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Follow all responsible beverage service laws and venue policies, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.
  • Work closely with barbacks, servers, and management to maintain seamless service throughout events.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or event venue preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Exceptional multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and passionate about creating an unforgettable guest experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid alcohol compliance certification (e.g., TABC, TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or other state-approved certification) before working any scheduled events.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with The Dome’s event schedule.
