Noe Valley Wine & Spirits is a small boutique wine, spirits and beer shop in San Francisco’s lovely Noe Valley. As a neighborhood shop, our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in a friendly, clean and well-organized environment. We sell what we think is the best in its category, and we like to have FUN! We specialize in French, Spanish and Italian wines, and the new world wines we carry tend to reflect our collective old world palate.
We need someone 11am-7pm Thursday-Saturday; Mondays we are closed. We are willing to look at candidates from within the industry with good wine/beer/spirits knowledge on a part-time basis.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stock bottles and clean (dust, vacuum, wipe down glass surfaces regularly).
Must be computer literate and be able to use a modern POS. Specific knowledge of Excel, Word, Affinity, Mail Chimp, and basic web maintenance a plus.
Familiarity with major social media platforms and experience/skill writing copy for social media and the web desired.
Wine, beer and spirits knowledge is required to be able to assist customers in selecting, purchasing and enjoying wine beer and spirits. A year or more of restaurant/wine/industry experience is a must or enrollment in wine education (WSET, CSW, Court of Masters, etc).
Should be willing to take on multiple roles at the shop and able to participate in tasting and selecting product as a team.
