Assistant Women's Basketball Coach (Part-time)
General Description: Bryant & Stratton College -Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant women's basketball coach(es). All sports compete at the NJCAA Division II level (scholarship offering). The women's program is coming off its third trip in five years to the National Tournament and an appearance in the Final Four in 2021-22 and part of the elite 8 in 2022-2023.
All coaches are responsible for the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship.
Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
โ€ข The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach assists the Head Coach is all aspects of the basketball program.
โ€ข The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for recruiting players, holding tryouts and to assist in coaching the intercollegiate basketball team at Bryant & Stratton College.
โ€ข Assisting with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games.
โ€ข Need to be available for morning practices
โ€ข Preparing scouting reports and conducting film breakdown/analysis of opponents and team performance to support game preparation and strategic planning.
โ€ข Collaborating with the Head Coach on game preparation, including film review, opponent tendencies, and implementation of game plans.
โ€ข The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach is expected to become knowledgeable of all National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) basketball rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
โ€ข As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. It is the responsibility of the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling, to ensure the safety of staff and student-athletes.
โ€ข The assistant coach may be required to drive vans to basketball games.
โ€ข Other duties may be assigned by the head coach and athletic director.
Qualifications:
โ€ข Required: High school diploma, college education preferred
โ€ข Required: Coaching experience at the high school level or above
โ€ข Desired: Basketball coaching experience at the college level
โ€ข Desired: College recruiting experience
โ€ข Desired: Familiar with southeastern Wisconsin AAU and club teams
โ€ข First aid/CPR certification is a plus
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills required
โ€ข Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults
โ€ข Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations is a plus
โ€ข Clean driving record is preferred
