Job description

The Gameday Presentation & Public Address (PA) Announcer will serve as the lead Public Address announcer for all games played at Coleman Field at USA Baseball's National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. Coleman Field annually hosts approximately 140 games throughout the summer, including the National Team Championships, National Team Training Camps, and the National Team Identification Series. The Gameday Presentation & PA Announcer will also assist in gameday operations, such as retrieving lineups, running the scoreboard, and managing the in-stadium sound system.

  • Range of Part Time to Full Time Hours
  • Duration: June 8-August 30, 2026

In This Role:As Gameday Presentation & Public Address (PA) Announcer, you will gain hands-on experience in press box and gameday operations, administration, and in-game promotions and sponsorships at USA Baseball's National Training Complex (NTC). You may:
  • Serve as the main public address announcer (PA) for all games at Coleman Field, announcing starting lineups, player introductions, and other in-game updates.
  • Assist in creation of in-game promotion and sponsorship reads.
  • Coordinate with USA Baseball communications and operations staff to retrieve starting lineups prior to each game.
  • Work with participating teams, coaches, and players to ensure proper pronunciation of game participants.
  • Manage in-stadium sound system, play music during inning breaks, and facilitate other game stoppages as necessary.
  • Manage the scoreboard during games, ensuring accuracy as it relates to all game action.
  • Collaborate with other USA Baseball departments and staff to assist in other areas as needed.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and provide administrative support for other USA Baseball events as assigned.
