Job description

Shady Grove Medical CenterIf you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Support Service Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As an Outpatient Clinics Support Coordinator, you will:
Perform Insurance Verification and manages pre-authorizations for Center for Fitness & Health
Specialized Scheduling: Coordinates scheduling patient appointments for both Center for Fitness & Health & Outpatient Infusion Center
Perform accurate and timely billing of services in EMR
Manage high volume calls in a timely manner and maintains professionalism and interpersonal skills
Greet patients, verify demographic/insurance information, and serve as the primary point of contact for navigating the infusion and rehab process.
Act as a liaison between patients, referring physicians, and clinical staff to streamline care delivery
Additional Duties & Assigned: Attend staff meetings, maintain office supplies, and assist with basic clinic operations
Participates in department improvement initiatives and data gathering
Qualified candidates will possess:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree inAdministration, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in an outpatient medical setting. Must have experience with insurance verification, medical billing, and complex scheduling
Precepting or training skills preferred, but not required
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
Must have strong communication and customer service skills
Must be able to work well within a multidisciplinary team (Nurses, Exercise Physiologists, Physicians)
Must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Possess strong multitasking skills with high attention to detail

Work Schedule:

  • Employment Type: Variable Part-time
  • Hours per Week: 8 hours/week 16-24 hours per month
  • Typical Daily Schedule: Between the hours of 7am and 6 pm Monday through Friday Cardiac Rehab is open M-F 7am-6pm and Infusion M-F 8am-4:30pm
  • Shift Type: Day
  • Weekend Requirements: Required/Optional/None - e.g. every other weekend rotation
  • Holiday Requirements: Required/On-call/Follow company holiday calendar
  • On-Call: no
  • Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range:

$21.55 - $28.87
