Job description

As a Banquet Server / Bartender at the Renaissance Baronette Hotel in Novi, Michigan, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service during events, including receptions, meetings, trainings, and social gatherings. Your ability to create a welcoming atmosphere, craft quality beverages, and respond to guest needs ensures memorable experiences that drive the success of our venue.
$13.73 a hour plus service charge gratuities.
Part time opportunity
Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Greet guests warmly and ensure all service needs are met throughout the event.
• Communicate effectively with guests, answering menu and beverage-related questions.
• Take beverage orders and prepare cocktails accurately and efficiently.
• Understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all liquor, beer, and wine inventory is accurately counted at the end of each event.
• Anticipate guest needs and monitor overall satisfaction with service.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Assist with event setup, bar execution, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Perform side work to prepare for upcoming events.
Qualifications:
• Previous bartending service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of common cocktails, beverage service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
