License Requirements: AGCO( Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario) License, and Smart Serve Certificate

OVERVIEW:

Bar Porters are responsible for taking guests through the key phases of their Hard Rock experience. As a Hard Rock Bar Porter, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, entertainer, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible

  • Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with Hard Rock policies.

  • Ensures bar is set properly.

  • Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meets service standards.

  • Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift.

  • Prepares all mixes and garnishes.

  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift.

  • Notify management of maintenance repair issues relating to the bar and service area.

  • Complete any additional reasonable requests by management.

  • Demonstrates impeccable product knowledge.

  • Answer questions - accurately and politely.

  • Direct guests to areas & restrooms.

  • Create memorable experiences.

  • Entertain guests with AMPLIFIED SERVICE.

  • Lives the Brand.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

  • Must be at least 19 years of age

  • Must be Smart Serve certified or willing to obtain it

  • Practicing all general safety standards

  • Performing duties which require bending & reaching

  • Lifting & transporting up to 25 pounds

  • Standing or walking, for up to 8+ hours

  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance ("having a plan")

  • Following all uniform guidelines

  • Recycling products, where possible

  • Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere

  • Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency

  • Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.

  • Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.

Working Conditions:

Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
