Description:
The Part-Time Bakery Assistant at Linvilla Orchards supports the daily operations of the bakery by assisting with the preparation, baking, packaging, and stocking of fresh baked goods for the Farm Market. This position requires someone who is dependable, hardworking, and able to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Bakery Assistant helps maintain the high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency that guests have come to expect from Linvilla's bakery.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily production of pies, breads, cookies, pastries, and seasonal baked goods.
- Prepare ingredients, assemble products, package finished items, and stock bakery displays.
- Safely lift and move bags of flour, sugar, ingredients, bakery supplies, and finished products throughout the workday.
- Load, unload, and transport bakery products between production, storage, and retail areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing work surfaces.
- Follow recipes, production schedules, food safety standards, and health department regulations.
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the Bakery Manager.
- Assist with increased production during holidays, weekends, and seasonal events.
- Provide friendly and courteous service when assisting customers or answering questions in the Farm Market.
Qualifications
- Previous bakery, kitchen, or food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal shifts.
Position Type
This is a part-time, with hours that vary based on business needs. During peak seasons full time hours are available. Weekend and holiday availability is required, especially during peak seasons and special events.

- This is a physically demanding position.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry 50 pounds or more throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warm bakery environment around ovens and commercial kitchen equipment.
