Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities Available
Full-Time Schedule
  • Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Part-Time Schedule
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Some Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform expanded restorative functions as permitted under Ohio EFDA regulations and under the direct supervision of the dentist
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
  • Place and finish restorative materials as authorized by Ohio law
  • Take and process digital dental radiographs
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
  • Review and update patient medical histories and clinical records
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation within the electronic dental record system
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and office safety standards
  • Maintain inventory and organization of clinical supplies and materials
  • Foster a positive patient experience through professional, compassionate care
  • Support the clinical team with additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Current Ohio Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Registration
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Dental Radiography Certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to quality patient care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of EFDA experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with digital dentistry and intraoral scanning
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar systems
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ohio EFDA Requirements
Applicants must meet all Ohio EFDA requirements, including:
  • Completion of an approved EFDA training program.
  • Successful completion of the Ohio EFDA examination.
  • Current registration with the Ohio State Dental Board.

Ohio EFDAs are authorized to perform expanded restorative procedures under a dentist's direct supervision as permitted by Ohio law.
