GRE HERC Services LLC has an opening for a full-time Auxiliary Operator at its downtown Minneapolis facility. Our mission is to provide Hennepin County with cost effective resource recovery in harmony with a sustainable environment. HERC helps the county manage waste by burning garbage to create energy for the electric grid and steam for nearby buildings.
As a licensed Auxiliary Operator, you will operate and inspect various waste systems and equipment as assigned. These include the boilers and their associated systems such as fans, grates, ash and emission systems.

To qualify for this position you must:
This position works rotating 4 X 4 – 12 hour shifts. Hours are: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM for 4 days, 4 days off, and then the next 4 day shift is from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. It is a union position with pay starting at $47.42 per hour. We offer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, paid time off, retirement plan, free on-site parking and more. Ability to work overtime is required. This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position for drug, cannabis and alcohol testing purposes.
