A Part Time Auto Body Collision technician is a professional who repairs vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions, working on a part-time schedule. Their duties typically include assessing damage, repairing or replacing body panels, sanding, painting, and ensuring vehicles are restored to their pre-accident condition. They may also work with insurance adjusters and use specialized tools and equipment. Part-time roles offer flexibility in hours, making this job suitable for those seeking supplemental income or balancing other commitments. Training is often provided on the job, though some employers prefer candidates with prior experience or vocational education.

To thrive as a Part Time Auto Body Collision Technician, you need foundational knowledge in auto body repair, painting, and welding, often supported by a high school diploma or vocational training. Familiarity with tools such as frame straightening machines, paint booths, and estimating software like CCC ONE is typical, and certifications like I-CAR or ASE can be beneficial. These competencies ensure accurate repairs, customer satisfaction, and safe, efficient workflow in a repair shop environment.
