Job description

POSITION:

Shipping & Receiving Clerk

OBJECTIVE:

Be a valuable team member of Verrex and its Shipping and Receiving department; to enable Verrex to maintain its reputation for quality and leadership in the Audio-Visual industry.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly, Non-Exempt, Part Time 16-20 hours per week (may be full time 40 hours per week in future)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Warehouse:
  1. Organize and Stock all job-related materials in designated areas
  2. Accurately receive incoming products, verifying against the packing list
  3. Provide Fabrication & Quality Assurance with all pick/pull materials
  4. Purge job shelves according to deletion reports
  5. Pick/Pull Tickets and Ship Requests
    1. Use common carriers to ship materials using proper packaging
    2. Verify items to be shipped with the Field Technician or delivery person
    3. Return items deleted from jobs to vendors for credit
    4. Track packages as needed and communicate appropriately
  6. Schedule Shipments via Common Carrier
  7. Ability to operate a pallet jack and regularly lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  8. Maintain and restock shop, office, kitchen, and restroom supplies as needed
  1. Deliveries and Driving
  1. Frequent deliveries in the Boston metro area
  2. Verify:
  1. All products/packaging are not damaged during delivery
  2. Ship Work Order and product received for delivery match.
  3. Get authorized signatures for delivery from Verrex Tech/Subcontractor or Customer Contact
    1. Vehicle Maintenance- oil changes, cleanliness, general care for delivery van
  1. General Requirements:
  1. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
  2. Ability to use computers for receiving, and shipping orders, and email for company communication.
  3. High school diploma
  4. Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
