SUMMARY
The Budtender provides exceptional customer service and education to our clientele while promoting a work environment that is positive, service oriented and compliant with established policies, procedures and applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with customers in a warm and professional way.
Offer guidance and direct customers to make informed choices and provide professional advice on the appropriate products according to each customer's needs, preferences, and budget.
Process and demonstrate good communication skills and offer a pleasant customer experience.
Display a full understanding and knowledge of the products in store and how to sell them.
Properly check the ID of customers for age verification.
Accurately and efficiently use POS system for each customer's transaction.
Work with management to increase sales with daily deals and loyalty program points.
Always provide exceptional customer services and maintain courtesy and professionalism.
Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Because of our commitment to customer service and the well-being of our team, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Passion for and knowledge about Cannabis and Cannabis Products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and understanding of WAC and other applicable laws and regulations.
1 year + customer service and Cannabis retail experience.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Customer service and Cannabis retail experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and other staff.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
This position is classified as a sensitive position. Therefore, applicants must submit to and clear a pre-employment criminal background check.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of cannabis and its various uses.
Skilled and familiar with Point-of-Sale systems and cash handling.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, customers, and vendors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a normal retail store setting; noise levels range from quiet to loud but are usually moderate.
