Job description

The Blue Scorcher Bakery and Cafe, a worker-owned cooperative in Astoria, Oregon, is seeking a baker with pastry experience. This role is part-time at 3-4 days per week. As a cooperative, we value transparency, open communication, and personal accountability. Successful Scorchers are reliable, work well within a team, and proactively seek and integrate feedback. We are a self-governing shop, so a broader interest in how the business runs and willingness to participate in group decision-making is a plus.


Our hourly wage starts at $20 per hour and increases to $21.00 per hour when you become a member of the cooperative. This role receives a tip-out. We also offer vision and dental insurance, paid time off, and other benefits. Pastry shifts start as early as 3 am and end as late as 4 pm.
