They typically handle tasks like writing and testing code, debugging, and supporting backend development under the guidance of senior developers. This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in JavaScript and Node.js while balancing other commitments, such as school or another job. Associate-level developers are usually early in their careers, so they often focus on learning best practices and building foundational skills.

To stay aligned, it's common for part-time associates to document their progress thoroughly and proactively update the team about any blockers. This role provides valuable exposure to agile development practices and cross-functional teamwork, even with limited weekly hours.
