JOB SUMMARY

An Asset Management Office Assistant will assist the area manager and coordinators within the Asset Management office and the Innovation Hub. The Office Assistant manages the front desk and is responsible for handling a variety of laptop and mobile computing questions that the Seton Hall community may encounter. The Office Assistant will also assist with the updating and management of laptop related databases, administrative tasks and other assigned projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Office Assistant will be responsible for:

Greeting Seton Hall community in the Corrigan 27 office/ Innovation Hub

Directing members of the community to the appropriate staff member

Assisting office staff with paperwork

Managing traffic flow from the office to the Technical Service Area/ Studio Solutions to assure all users receive the best possible service

Assisting with inventory of assets by updating and managing records using the JIRA database

Assist in organizing and transporting assets within the office and to designated storage areas on campus (requires lifting up to 10lbs)

Assisting in various project completions utilizing programs such as Microsoft Excel

Assisting with tickets for laptop related issues

Answering phone calls and responding to office emails in a professional manner

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Must be a current Seton Hall student

Knowledge of current Windows operating systems, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook Email), and JIRA

Familiarity working with database applications and querying information

Someone who is articulate, organized and able to work as part of a team

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Physical Demands: Carrying reams of paper as needed to stock printers.
