Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a Software Developer Intern to assist in modernizing a Microsoft Excel/VBA-based operational tool intoa web-based C# ASP.NET application. The current solution processes Excel workbooks, extracts and validates telecommunications/service data, interfaces with SQL databases, and generates reporting outputs. The intern will work closely with senior developers and architects to analyze existing VBA macros and help redesign the functionality into a scalable ASP.NET with SQL Server integration. Responsiblities include:
  • Analyze existing Excel VBA macros and business workflows
  • Convert VBA-based logic into C# ASP.NET application components
  • Develop backend services to process and validate uploaded Excel files
  • Build SQL queries and integrae with SQL Server databases
  • Assist in designing web-based user interfaces for reporting and validation
  • Debug and troubleshoot data processing issues
  • Participate in code reviews and Agile development activities
  • Colloborate with senior engineers to improve performance and maintainability

Required Qualifications
  • Computer Science or related major with a 3.3 GPA
  • Experience with C#
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • US Citizen or US Permanent resident

Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand existing VBA or scripting logic

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
