MRI Technologist


Department: Radiology
Position Type: Part-time, 32 hours bi-weekly
Shift: 1st shift, between 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Summary:
Fulton County Health Center is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join our Radiology Department. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and providing compassionate patient care. You will operate MRI equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of the body for diagnostic purposes, ensuring the highest standards of professional service and patient safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans following physician orders and established protocols.
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images.
  • Deliver compassionate care to patients throughout their MRI procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal imaging results.
  • Stay current with industry practices, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
  • Completion of an accredited MRI program.
  • ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT registration preferred. Candidates must be eligible to obtain ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification within one year of completing an accredited MRI program.
  • Candidates currently registered in another imaging modality (e.g., Nuclear Medicine, Radiologic Technology, or Radiation Therapy) must successfully pass the advanced MRI examination through ARRT or ARMRIT within one year of completing MRI training.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient safety practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing MRI examinations with attention to detail, image quality, and patient care.
  • Ability to research and apply MRI safety parameters for patients with implants and other MRI safety considerations.
  • Previous experience as an MRI Technologist or in another diagnostic imaging role preferred.
  • Experience with MRI cross-training programs, including structured MRI education and clinical training requirements, preferred.aining programs for MRI structured education and clinical requirements preferred.
