Armed Security Officer Retail Part-Time

Armed Security Officer (Part-Time)

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Weekends 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm or 5:00 pm-9:00 pm

Join Our Security Team

We are seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Armed Security Officers to provide security services at client locations throughout the Chicago area. This position emphasizes observation, reporting, patrol operations, and emergency response while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Illinois PERC Card
  • Active Illinois FOID Card
  • Current Illinois 40-Hour Armed Security Training Certificate
  • Personal firearm and all required permits
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clear, accurate incident and activity reports
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience
  • College coursework in criminal justice, security, or a related field
  • Experience with patrol operations and incident response
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report security-related activities and incidents
  • Conduct foot, vehicle, golf cart, and/or bicycle patrols as assigned
  • Identify and report suspicious persons, activities, or safety concerns
  • Complete detailed incident reports and Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
  • Enforce site rules, policies, and post orders
  • Respond to emergencies and provide security assistance when needed
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist in de-escalating potentially hostile situations
