Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and ensure compliance with security policies. Site location is the NCDOT Century Center in Raleigh. Position is a part-time position and schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to observe activities within designated areas.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing conflict management as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches or unusual occurrences.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Provide first aid or assistance in emergency situations until medical personnel arrive.
