Job description

If you’re looking for a behind-the-scenes role in the entertainment industry but have no previous experience, this is the “foot in the door” opportunity you’ve been searching for and the first step to becoming a Stagehand!

Conversion Techs assist with the day-to-day conversion operations at some of the largest venues on the Las Vegas Strip, contributing to the successful execution of major concerts, sporting events and resident shows.

Duties Include:

  • Set and strike staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, portable flooring, boxing rings, etc.
  • Work with venue staff on all other conversion related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a part-time, on-call, as needed (W-2) position. Hours will vary (including nights, weekends and holidays) and there is no minimum guarantee of hours per week, month, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. as required for equipment handling.
  • Ability to consistently walk, stand, bend, stoop & twist as required for on-site tasks.

Other Requirements:

  • Reliable source of transportation to get to and from event sites in a timely manner
  • Must understand general industry terms and fundamental principles
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive under Nevada law. (We do not screen for marijuana.)
  • Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors under varying weather conditions
  • Must be willing to work cohesively with teammates and supervisors
  • Must wear appropriate attire and footwear for concert / corporate events as outlined in Rhino policies
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English to ensure the safe execution of tasks and coordination with crew and clients*
  • Must be 18 yrs of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
  • OSHA 10 General Industry certification required by the State of Nevada.
