Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiothoracic Surgery Cape Coral, FL Overview: Our privately owned outpatient cardiothoracic surgery center in Cape Coral is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong Critical Care and PACU/Recovery skills to support patients through every phase of their surgical journey. Working closely with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a hands-on role in a specialized, high-impact surgical setting. Position Offers: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Full-time or part-time available (part-time no less than 3 days/week) Competitive pay: $43-47 per hour (DOE) No call schedule Stable outpatient surgical environment Collaborative multidisciplinary team Opportunity to provide high-impact care in a specialized cardiothoracic setting Key Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments, triage, vital signs, medical history review, and pulse checks Prepare patients and operative areas for procedures, including arteriograms and angiograms, and notify physicians of any contraindications Monitor patients during procedures and manage medications, including blood pressure management, as directed Provide recovery care, initiate IVs, and perform post-operative monitoring and follow-up Coordinate patient check-ins before surgery and follow-up calls after the procedure Support patients through pre-, peri-, and post-operative phases of care Qualifications: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida Active ACLS certification Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including Critical Care and PACU/Recovery experience Prior experience working with surgeons Why Join Us: Join a specialized cardiothoracic surgery center where your critical care and recovery expertise directly supports patients through every stage of their surgical journey, with no call schedule and a collaborative team environment.
