Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC)! We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. The AESC Team is growing, and we are seeking motivated, positive and compassionate individuals to join our team. Our Nursing staff is essential and important to us, just as the care they provide to the pets and clients in our community. Compensation
  • $18 -$25/hr. based on experience

Schedule
  • Part Time
    • Approximately 20 hours per week
    • Mutually agreeable schedule to be determined based on candidate's availability with mostly daytime hours to be expected

Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the hospital's building, grounds, equipment, and IT infrastructure. This hands-on position ensures a safe, clean, and efficient environment through preventive maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, vendor coordination, and facility improvement projects.
Responsibilities
  • Complete building maintenance tasks as assigned by the facilities manager.
  • Complete frequent safety assessments of hospital areas.
  • Deep cleaning and organizational projects.
  • Operate battery powered floor scrubber.
  • Coordinate building and equipment repairs with approved vendors.
  • Assist with maintaining over 100 PC workstations and hospital IT infrastructure.
  • Painting and drywall patches to maintain hospital appearance.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of work experience in general construction, a construction trade, facility maintenance, or related job field.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree.
  • Three years of work experience performing facility maintenance.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist core certification.
  • OSHA 10-hour card certification.
