Job description

Position Summary

Provides attentive, compassionate care for boarding animals by maintaining a safe, clean, and well organized environment. This role supports daily operations across boarding, grooming, and pet supply services and requires teamwork, reliability, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
The successful candidate will share our dedication to exceptional client service and the highest standards of care for pets staying with us for boarding, grooming, and pet supplies. This position is immediately available with full time and part time opportunities across a variety of shifts.
Experience and Qualifications

Experience in a veterinary, grooming, or boarding facility is preferred, but we are willing to train the right animal person. A positive attitude, excellent pet handling skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential.
This is a 24 hour, seven day a week facility. Team members must be comfortable working in a fast paced, hands on environment and following established care and safety protocols.
Scheduling and Availability

Shift availability may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights. Example shifts include 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Schedules will vary based on facility needs and staff availability.
Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Supervises and interacts with all pets inside the facility and during yard rotations
 • Feeds, waters, and administers medications to boarding and resident animals per company procedures and client or veterinary instructions
 • Cleans and disinfects pet rooms, walls, floors, food and water containers
 • Maintains laundry, bedding, and dishes
 • Supervises pets during outside playtime
 • Takes daily photographs for client updates
 • Performs yard work including waste removal and water cleanup
 • Maintains overall cleanliness of the facility including vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation
 • Greets clients during drop off and pick up and obtains care information as needed
 • Answers phones, responds to messages, and assists with reservations when assigned
 • Assists groomers with bathing and brushing pets as needed
 • Feeds and waters birds according to schedules and cleans cages and dishes when needed
 • Provides general, loving care for all pets receiving boarding or grooming services
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and occasionally sit. The employee frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls and must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust focus.
Reliability and Professionalism

A strong work ethic and consistent, on time attendance are essential. Team members are expected to follow established procedures, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and supportive work environment.
Compensation and Employment Status

Positions are W2 and hourly. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Client tips are generous and typically add an additional $2 to $3 per hour, issued with the weekly paycheck.
Health insurance, vacation, and 401k benefits are available for full time staff. Part time staff may be eligible for additional shifts as availability allows.
