Are you passionate about animal welfare, marine life, and creating unforgettable experiences for guests? We are looking for an enthusiastic Animal Welfare Host to join our Displays team and help provide exceptional care for a diverse collection of freshwater and marine animals, including sharks, rays, fish, reptiles, and invertebrates.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where animal care, conservation, education, and guest engagement come together every day.The typical schedule would be Thursday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. 

What You'll Do

As an Animal Welfare Host, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of our animal collection while supporting the operation of our aquatic exhibits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily care, feeding, and husbandry for a variety of aquatic animals.
  • Cleaning and maintaining aquarium habitats and display areas.
  • Assisting with the operation and maintenance of life support systems.
  • Preparing diets and feeding animals according to established protocols.
  • Supporting water quality testing, quarantine procedures, animal transport, and health monitoring.
  • Assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of fish diseases under established guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records for exhibits, systems, and animal collections.
  • Delivering engaging presentations and interacting with guests to share your passion for marine life.
  • Demonstrating outstanding guest service while bringing our company values to life.
  • Collaborating with animal care professionals, veterinarians, management, and fellow team members.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of our exhibit spaces.
Physical Requirements

This active position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Work safely around water systems, equipment, and cleaning materials.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and conditions.
